About X-MUN

St. Xavier’s Collegiate School passionately believes in building ‘Men for Others’ and aspires to instill the spirit of ‘Nihil Ultra’ through Education, in the youth of today. In all our pursuits, pedagogical, academic, or otherwise, the resonant effect of Jesuit education pervades in each one. X-MUN, the Interschool Model United Nations Conference hosted by St. Xavier’s Collegiate School, Kolkata, is no different. Through stimulating discourse and exchange, awareness about Global politics, prompt and ready ideation, and fiery friendly debates, X-MUN inspires in its participants the spirit of ‘Magis’; teaching one and all to strive for excellence.

X-MUN is a true testament to holistic learning, training students to work under pressure, delve into diplomacy in daily life, meet deadlines and make their voices heard, compliant with the noble vision of ‘Cura Personalis’: The enrichment of the Human Person. In a time clouded by crisis, where each day a cascading Domino effect manifests into Events of immense consequence on the Global platform, in the midst of a Human, Political and Cultural erosion of our world, where perhaps the meaning of Humanity seems more unclear day by day, X-MUN lets the youth of today-the Leaders of tomorrow- roll the dice, perhaps, moulding them for what follows itself. No doubt an inseparable part of the Xaverian Calendar, X-MUN aims at enriching, enthusing and education Kolkata over its three days of Conference, Conflict and Creation.
