Committee Overview
The Joint Crisis Committee (JCC) offers a unique and dynamic simulation where two or more bodies operate in the same historical timeline, reacting to each other's actions in real-time. In this session, JCC 1 represents the Athenian Empire at the height of its power and influence. As delegates of Athens, you are the architects of the Oikoumene's most sophisticated democracy and its most formidable naval force.
Your objective is to maintain Athenian hegemony through a combination of cultural soft power, strategic alliances, and, when necessary, decisive military action. The committee challenges delegates to balance the idealistic principles of the Delian League with the pragmatic realities of imperial survival in an increasingly hostile Greek world.
